Lagg's heavily peated spirit matured for 30 months in ex-bourbon casks with a 6 month finish in ex-red wine charred casks, bottled at 50% abv. The dram opens with earthy peat, minerality and a hint of oak. The palate is thick and herbaceous, with a dark fruit sweetness and wafts of peat, with a pinch of salt in the finish.

Colour
Deep amber-gold with coppery highlights and a touch of ruby from the red-wine finish—a warm, sunlit hue that speaks of coastal barley and seasoned oak.
Nose
Earthy peat dominates the nose, framed by mineral brightness and a hint of oak. Subtle red-fruit hints from the red-wine cask finish weave through the aroma, adding refined, wine-kissed depth.
Palate
Thick and herbaceous on the palate, dark plum and blackberry drift through peat smoke, with a mineral, saline bite lingering into the finish.
Finish
Peat wafts through the finish, tempered by a pinch of salt and a subtle mineral bite, lingering with a clean, saline echo.
