The 7th release of Independant Lagavulin as part of the Elements of Islay series. Mid 2000's distilate matured in four bourbon barrels and bottled at 56.8% abv.
A sweet and savoury nose of cured meats and orange citrus. Nicely balanced there is also delicate honeysuckle, wood char and vanilla marshmallow. The palate is thick and creamy, with BBQ'd meats, caramelised onions, sugar, toffee and iodine. The finish is warm, spicy, salty and dry.
