Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber-gold with copper highlights and a mahogany edge, a warm, burnished hue suggestive of sherry-cask maturation.
Nose
Opulent sherry aromas envelop the nose: dried fig and raisin, orange marmalade, and toasted almond mingle with dark caramel and brown sugar. Creamy vanilla and polished oak layer in, with hints of cocoa, spice, and a delicate whisper of smoke. Elegant, fruit-forward, and richly aged, the scent promises depth without heaviness.
Palate
Luxuriously velvety on the palate, this Ladyburn unfurls a sherried parade of dried apricot, fig and orange zest, with almond and toffee enriching the mid-palate. A rich 50.4% ABV coats with polished oak and spice—cinnamon and clove—leaving a long, refined finish threaded with subtle fruit sweetness.
Finish
Long, silky finish with rich sherry fruit, dark chocolate and toasted oak. Prune, fig and orange zest unfold slowly, while ribbons of cinnamon and clove weave through the sweetness. Oak tannins linger, leaving a warm, refined glow that persists with quiet elegance.
