Named after an inlet on Islay’s rugged Atlantic coast, Sanaig is a vatting of both sherry and bourbon casks. The high proportion of Oloroso sherry influence adding a balance of dried fruits and spices to classic Kilchoman citrus sweetness and peat smoke character.
On the nose there are aromas of fragrant heather, raisins, pear and orange peel with waves of stoned fruits, mixed spices and rich peat smoke. Rich flavours of over ripe plums, red cherries and hints of citrus give way to rich barbeque peat smoke, toffee, oak and dark chocolate. the finish coats the mouth with mixed fruit, caramel, cinnamon and clove with layers of brown sugar, spices, peat smoke and lasting sweetness.

Colour
Warm amber-gold with coppery undertones and a bronzed edge, a rich, inviting hue.
Nose
Fragrant heather and sea breeze open the nose, giving way to raisins, pear and orange zest. Waves of stone fruits mingle with red cherries and warm spices, while Oloroso sherry influence adds a velvety dried-fruit sweetness. Rich peat smoke threads through, with hints of oak and toffee shaping a lingering, coastal aromatic intensity.
Palate
On the palate, overripe plums and red cherries braid with citrus, yielding a luscious core of barbeque peat smoke, toffee and oak with dark chocolate. The finish coats the mouth with mixed fruit, caramel and brown sugar, then cinnamon and clove surface, leaving a long, sweet weave of peat, spice and cocoa.
Finish
Coats the palate with mixed fruit, caramel and brown sugar, spiced with cinnamon and clove. Peat smoke lingers, weaving through brown sugar and spices, finishing in lasting sweetness.
