Machir Bay is a vatting of Kilchoman matured in both Bourbon and Sherry casks. Named after Islay’s most spectacular beach, the high proportion of Bourbon barrels create a distinct balance of classic Islay character and fresh floral complexity.
Lemon zest, vanilla and distinct coastal influence give way to floral intensity, juicy peaches, pears, and wafts of rich spices. Bursts of tropical fruit and dried sultanas, warming smoke and waves of honey, malt, butterscotch and rich sweetness flow on the palate. This is finished by Sherry soaked fruit, cracked black pepper and sea salt. Long lasting with layers of citrus sweetness and maritime peat smoke.

Golden amber with luminous honey tones and a warm coppery glow, sun-kissed and inviting.
Nose
Bright lemon zest and vanilla lift the bouquet, edged by a cutting Islay coastal breeze. Floral brightness pairs with juicy peach and pear, while wisps of warm spice mingle with tropical fruit and dried sultanas. Honeyed malt and toffee notes weave through, as maritime peat, sea salt and a subtle Sherry-tinged fruit richness linger on the nose.
Palate
On the palate, citrus lemon zest and vanilla sit atop maritime peat, unfolding floral brightness with juicy peaches and pears. Tropical fruits and dried sultanas mingle with warming spices, honey, malt and butterscotch. Sherry-soaked fruit returns with cracked black pepper and sea salt, delivering a long, layered finish of citrus sweetness and coastal smoke.
