Colour

Deep mahogany amber with coppery glow and ruby-tinged edges.

Nose

Rich, fruity and nutty aromas unfold, brightened by orange and citrus notes, and lifted by gentle, elegant American oak spice.

Palate

Ripe plum and mixed berries fuse with velvety chocolate that melts on the palate, leaving a long, refined finish.

Finish

A long, velvety finish where dark chocolate and cocoa linger beside ripe plum and berry fruit, lifted by orange zest and gentle spice, gradually fading to a warm, luxurious coda.

Kavalan was founded in Yilan County in 2005 by King Car Group and is widely regarded as Taiwan’s first whisky distillery. The name comes from the old name of Yilan and the indigenous Kavalan people. Its first bottling, Kavalan Classic, was released in 2008, and the Solist range followed in 2009.
