Amontillado is an exquisite dry sherry that is darker than Fino and lighter than Oloroso, maturing under a cap of flor and then exposed to the air for further oxidation. Ageing Kavalan's new-make spirit in Amontillado sherry casks, produces aromas of toasted almond, hazelnut and caramel with an elegant and long finish.

Colour
Amber-gold with warm coppery undertones.
Nose
An enveloping, multi-layered aroma of rich fruit and sweetness: dried figs and sweet-sour plum, lifted by fresh peony, finishing with hazelnut and almond, a touch of toffee and a soft hint of oak.
Palate
Cherry-infused richness with baked apple pie, coffee and cinnamon, layered with caramel. The palate carries a long, elegant finish of toasted hazelnut and almond, entwined with subtle spicy pepper.
Finish
An extended, elegant finish that lingers with toasted almond and hazelnut, caramel sweetness and a whisper of cherry and baked apple. Coffee and cinnamon introduce a subtle spicy pepper, fading to a warm oak echo.
