Sunlit gold with warm amber hues and a coppery edge.

Nose

Opulent and inviting, the nose opens with dried fruit—raisin, fig, and orange zest—unfolding into vanilla, honey, and toasted almond. Subtle sherry depth enriches the sweetness, while wisps of caramel, oak, and gentle spice (cinnamon, clove) add warmth. Mature, refined aromatics promise a smooth, generous character.

Palate

Silky and light-to-midweight on the palate, with honeyed sweetness, vanilla custard and citrus zest. Subtle almond, toffee and dried fruit deepen the mid-palate, aided by gentle oak and a whisper of sherry spice. A smooth, approachable mouthfeel that finishes clean and quietly refined.

Finish

Clean, gentle and long, the finish reveals honeyed vanilla and citrus zest, tempered by toasted oak. A subtle spice lingers, leaving a soft, refined warmth that invites another sip.

J&B stands for Justerini & Brooks, the London wine and spirits merchant founded in 1749 by Giacomo Justerini. The Brooks name was added later after Alfred Brooks bought the business, creating the name that would become closely linked with blended Scotch whisky. J&B Rare was created in the early 1930s and became the company’s best-known whisky. It was built with international markets in mind, especially the United States, where its lighter, smoother style helped it become one of the most recognisable Scotch whisky blends of the 20th century.
