Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber with coppery highlights and a smoky, ruby-tinged edge.
Nose
Peat smoke leans into the sea, a maritime cloak over a rich sherry layer. Caol Ila’s iodine and Talisker’s pepper thread through Brora/Clynelish waxiness with citrus zest. Vanilla and toasted French oak drift in, lending polish to a luxurious, velvet-smoked aroma and a restrained sweetness.
Palate
Powerful yet refined, this folds Islay smoke from Caol Ila with maritime peat from Talisker, tempered by Sherry sweetness. Brora/Clynelish adds ethereal fruit and waxy depth, while a touch of new French oak brings richness and spice. The palate lingers with smoky brine, dark fruit, cocoa, and a warm, peppery finish.
Finish
A long, smoky finish that lingers with maritime brine, dried Sherry fruits, and a refined whisper of new French oak spice, slowly fading to warm embers.
