Out of stock
One of Glenmorangie's experimental cask maturations. This is a 1993 vintage whisky that has been matured in Burr Oak, a type of wood found in north America. Released in 2004 as a 21 year old and bottled at cask strength. One of only 1152 bottles don't you know.
Big, rich and spicy, this has lots of extra bourbon character from the cask. Powerfull vanilla and coconut aromas lead to a slightly tropical fruit flavour, citrus, mango and baked bananna.

Colour
Burnished amber with copper highlights and a warm honey-gold glow.
Nose
Opulent vanilla and coconut perfume dominates the nose, seasoned by warm bourbon spice from the Burr Oak. Toasted oak lends structure while tropical notes rise—ripe mango, citrus zest and a hint of baked banana. Creamy, luscious and resinous, with a glossy sweetness that promises the cask-strength richness ahead.
Palate
Full-bodied and velvety, the palate delivers bourbon vanilla and coconut, then tropical fruit—ripe mango, citrus, and a hint of baked banana. Spices glow with warmth, while Burr Oak adds a resinous depth. The finish is long and creamy, with persistent spice and a gentle honeyed sweetness.
Finish
Long, warm finish marked by bourbon-spice and vanilla, with coconut sweetness lingering alongside tropical fruit—citrus, mango and baked banana. Oak depth softly fades to a toasted, lingering warmth that echoes the cask’s bold character.
