The peated version of the Glenglassaugh Octaves Batch 2. This whisky is a combination of Bourbon, Olorosso Sherry and Port casks, resulting in a rather intriguing whisky.
That has salted caramel, chilli chocolate and burning driftwood, yellow plum sweetness on the nose. This is combined with apricot, ginger bacon and maple syrup sweetness and savoury smoke through the palate. The finish is nutty, smokey and full of spicy fruits.

Colour
Deep amber-gold with coppery highlights and a burnished bronze edge.
Nose
Salted caramel leads the aroma, intertwined with chili chocolate and burning driftwood. Bright yellow plum sweetness lingers, adding a fruity lift to the nose.
Palate
On the palate, apricot and maple syrup sweetness mingle with ginger-bacon warmth and a savoury, smoky core. Nutty, smoky notes persist with a finish of spicy fruits.
Finish
Nutty and smoky, the finish lingers with bright spicy fruit—apricot and plum—mingling with a warm maple sweetness and a final whisper of charred driftwood.
