Colour

Deep amber with copper-gold highlights and mahogany undertones.

Nose

Opulent, wine-kissed nose with Madeira-etched sweetness. Dried prunes, fig and raisin mingle with candied orange and honeyed caramel. Toasted oak, vanilla and almond paste lend structure, while warm spice, cocoa and a whisper of leather emerge, promising depth and elegance.

Palate

Luxuriously velvety, the palate unfolds with dried plum, raisin and fig, lifted by caramelized sugar and a touch of orange zest. Madeira influence brings toffee, dark chocolate and espresso notes, while integrated spice—cinnamon and nutmeg—and polished oak weave a sophisticated, long finish with warm, lingering sweetness.

Finish

An exceptionally long, velvety finish, dominated by Madeira-imparted richness: fig, raisin and caramel dissolve into dark chocolate and orange marmalade, while gentle spice and toasted oak weave a warm, refined crescendo that lingers with elegant depth.

(Glen-GLASS-uh) Glenglassaugh was founded in 1875 near Sandend on the Aberdeenshire coast by James Moir and his nephews. Its history has been unusually stop-start, with long silent periods during the 20th century before production resumed in 2008 after a major revival. The distillery later joined the BenRiach company in 2013, before becoming part of Brown-Forman in 2016 alongside Benriach and GlenDronach.
