Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber with coppery-bronze highlights and a mahogany edge.
Nose
An opulent sherry perfume, deep with fig and dried plum, crowned by toffee, cocoa and burnt sugar. Orange zest, cinnamon and clove mingle with polished oak, while leather, old varnish and a whisper of sea air complete the finish.
Palate
Silky, full-bodied palate with a rich sherry cloak: dark plum, fig and raisin mingle with roasted almond, cocoa and toffee. Spices—cinnamon and clove—fade into a velvety oak frame, delivering a warming, luxurious finish of dried fruits, coffee-dark chocolate and a whisper of tobacco.
Finish
Long, opulent finish with a pronounced sherry thread; dried fruits and dark chocolate weave with warm spice, slowly fading into toasted oak and a satin, enduring warmth that lingers well after the last sip.
