Part of the limited release wood finishes series, Glenglassaugh have released this peated whisky finished in virgin oak casks. Matured in first fill ex-Bourbon Casks and finished for two years in virgin American oak. The sweet earthiness of the coastal peated spirit is brought to life by the new wood. During the finishing process, the whisky takes on intense notes of candy and fresh spice, as if a sweet shop by the beach, spiced by land and sea.

Colour
Bright golden amber with honeyed warmth and a coppery sheen, a sunlit glow in the glass.
Nose
Creamy vanilla with toasted oak spice flows over candy-store confectionery and crisp, freshly peated barley.
Palate
Crisp oak carries candied ginger, boiled sweets and brittle toffee, all enveloped in a deliciously sweet peat smoke that lingers.
Finish
Long and decadent, the finish binds creamy vanilla and toasted oak with candy-sweet spice. Soft ginger and toffee linger as a whisper of peat smoke, carried by a coastal breeze—sweet shop by the beach, spiced with land and sea.
