Tasting Notes
Colour
Soft rosé with a warm golden-copper glow; a delicate blush that mirrors a summer rose, subtly edged with amber warmth.
Nose
Soft and fresh on the nose, delicate rose water mingles with blackcurrants, pink vanilla wafers, raspberry ripple ice cream, praline and pink lady apples, unfolding like a scented summer bouquet.
Palate
Strawberry shortbread leads, with spiced Ribena and peach melba, while vanilla icing lends sweetness. Raspberry mousse swirls through, and a gentle spice with mellow oak adds structure, finishing polished and lingering.
Finish
Toasted cinnamon opens the finish, giving way to spiced cranberry, blackcurrant cordial and peppery red berries. Vanilla popping candy adds a playful sparkle as rose Turkish Delight and Cadbury’s chocolate linger, juicy and easy-drinking—a port-cask malt that belies its price.
