Dalmunach is one of Scotland's newest distilleries, located on the site of the former Imperial distillery in Carron.

This bottling is one of the first releases of new whisky from the distillery, and has been initially matured in a 1st fill ex-bourbon American Standard Barrel for slightly over 4 years and then further matured in a 2nd fill ex-oloroso sherry 50L Octave cask for a further 7 months. This is the 2nd UK exclusive release of Dalmunach from Duncan Taylor.

Deep amber with a warm coppery glow, edged by a delicate mahogany rim.

Nose

Sweet vanilla and hazelnuts rise from the glass, a warm, inviting aroma.

Palate

Creamy, luxurious mouthfeel delivering red fruits and caramel sweets, with sherry-soaked chocolate notes; a gently sweet, chocolate-tinted finish.

Finish

Floral and sweet, with lingering barley sugar and parma violets.

Dalmunach Distillery, established in 2014 by Chivas Brothers, is located in Speyside on the site of the former Imperial Distillery. Named after a nearby pool in the River Spey, it produces single malt whisky primarily for blending, though limited single malt releases have gained interest. Its modern design incorporates elements from the old distillery, blending tradition with innovation.
