Nose

An elegant bouquet of dried fruits and honey, harmonized by Canadian rye spice; a subtle raisin sweetness threads through with a warm, inviting aroma.

Palate

On the palate, dried fruits and honey fuse with measured Canadian rye spice. Raisins and cocoa unfold mid-palate, guided by brown sugar to deliver plush sweetness, finishing round, warm, and lingering.

Finish

Raisins, cocoa and brown sugar round out the finish in a warm, elegant glow, with a subtle kiss of rye spice lingering.

Crown Royal was created in 1939 to mark the visit of King George VI and Queen Elizabeth to Canada. Seagram developed the whisky after hundreds of trial blends, presenting it in a cut-glass decanter with the purple velvet bag that is still closely associated with the brand today. It went on to become one of the most recognisable names in Canadian whisky.
