Tasting Notes

Colour

Coppery amber with honeyed gold highlights, a warm, sunlit glow.

Nose

Orange blossom honey on rye toast rises with fresh oak, while pancakes with syrup add a gentle sweetness. Menthol tobacco and clove spice mingle with new leather, creating a warm, inviting nose rich in spice and depth.

Palate

Juicy, buttery texture coats the palate, with a bold rye core. Pecan notes weave with clove spice, orange blossom honey, menthol and a touch of bitter chocolate. Peppery oak, cherry drops and anise rise against a generous surge of spicy dark rye grain, delivering a long, warm, composed finish.

Finish

Fresh mint leaves linger with toasted rye seeds, chocolate and orange zest, kissed by clove spice and pecan pie. A long, juicy finish that remains sweet and spicy, brilliantly balanced, inviting you back for another sip.

Crown Royal was created in 1939 to mark the visit of King George VI and Queen Elizabeth to Canada. Seagram developed the whisky after hundreds of trial blends, presenting it in a cut-glass decanter with the purple velvet bag that is still closely associated with the brand today.
