Generous rye backbone delivers rye bread and pepper with soft spice, mouth-coating yet refined. Rich vanilla broadens the mid-palate, while citrus zest and ripe orchard fruits lift the finish into a clean, warming, well-balanced finale.

Finish

Long, warming finish with peppery rye and soft spice persisting, yielding to vanilla sweetness, bright citrus zest and ripe orchard fruit lingering in the afterglow.

Produced by the Hiram Walker distillery in Windsor, Ontario, locally cultivated rye is distilled in the old-fashioned way – one batch at a time in a traditional copper pot still. Released in 2012, Lot No. 40 follows a recipe passed down seven generations that results in a pure expression of rye whisky.
