Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep copper-amber with a ruby-red glow and a mahogany edge.
Nose
Opulent red-fruit aromas lead, with ripe cherry, blackberry and plum mingling with red-wine depth from the barrique. Spices—cinnamon and clove—kiss vanilla, toasted oak and a touch of cocoa. Beneath, Craigellachie’s waxy malt backbone adds warmth and ballast, a leathery berry‑jam whisper lingering on the finish.
Palate
Rich, velvety palate with dark cherry and blackberry from the red wine barrique, seamlessly backed by plum and raisin sweetness. Silky tannins frame spicy oak, cocoa and a hint of espresso, delivering a full-bodied, wine-inflected profile. Long, warming finish with lingering red fruit and refined spice.
Finish
Wine-kissed and long, the finish unveils ripe red fruit—cherry and blackberry—carried by warm spice from the red wine barrique. Velvety tannins ebb and flow with cocoa and vanilla, leaving a polished warmth that lingers into a refined, fruity finale.
