Bright golden straw with a warm honey glow.

Nose

Sweetly herbal and gently honeyed, this nose carries a subtle creaminess, a distinctly gristy character, and a hint of salt that lingers like a seaside breeze.

Palate

Unctuously mouth-coating, peppery spices mingle with buttered gingerbread and malted barley, delivering a creamy, comforting sweetness that coats the tongue and lingers with warming spice.

Finish

Initial ginger primes the finish, giving way to salted vanilla toffee, then a ribbon of sugar and oak lingers with warm spice.

(KLINE-leash) Established in 1819 by the Marquis of Stafford in 1819, Clynelish was one of the first purpose-built distilleries. In 1823, the distillery became legal under the Excise Act. Unfortunately due to the recession in 1931 the distillery closed and did not open again until the end of World War II.
