"When this malt is not enveloped in taste bud clogging oil, it really can be a little special. Here'e further proof."
Very rare to find official bottlings of single cask Caol Ila, so this is a very collectable bottle indeed.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Bright golden amber with coppery sheen and a bronzed edge.
Nose
Intense coastal peat and iodine rise with briny sea air, wrapped in resinous smoke. Subtle sherry warmth threads through, bringing dried fruit, cocoa nibs, and a polished mineral core. A bold, refined aroma that hints at the 11-year, single-cask complexity.
Palate
Opulent and robust, the palate opens with coastal peat and sea-salt brine, a mineral spine carrying the smoke. Sherry cask influence brings dark fig, prune and cocoa, braided with spice and a touch of vanilla. At 58% ABV the texture remains creamy yet powerful, finishing long and warming with lingering smoke and maritime mineral notes.
Finish
Long, peaty finish that fades into saline sea air, with iodine and mineral edge, warmed by a whisper of sherry sweetness. The peat lingers, drying and resinous, finishing with a cocoa-tinged ember and a subtle peppery bite.
