Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep copper-gold with amber warmth and a mahogany glow.
Nose
Coastal sea-salt and iodine rise from the glass, with brisk peat smoke. Sherry notes emerge as dried fig, raisin and orange zest, mingling with toasted almond. Oak lends vanilla and a hint of cocoa, while a saline, medicinal edge keeps the Islay character bright and maritime.
Palate
Coastal peat floods the palate with brine and iodine sharpening the edge. Rich sherry influence coats dark fruit—fig, prune, raisin—with cocoa and espresso whispers. Velvet, oil-rich texture carries vanilla and toasted oak spice that slowly unfurls. The finish is long and warming: smoke, seawater, and subtle sweetness linger, leaving a refined, assertive ember.
Finish
Long, coastal peat lingers, a wave of sea-salt smoke softened by sherry sweetness. Dark chocolate, dried plum and toasted nuts unfold, closing with a warm, resinous fade that echoes Islay shores.
