Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber with coppery-gold highlights and a touch of mahogany, radiantly warm.
Nose
Velvety, sherried bouquet of dried figs, raisins and dates, with orange zest and a thread of bitter chocolate. Hints of almond paste, espresso and subtle spice mingle with dusty leather and polished oak. A delicate maritime lift and warm, nutty sweetness linger, revealing the depth and refinement of a well-aged Islay sherry dram.
Palate
Silky and full-bodied, this offers sherried richness with dark plum and raisin, mingling with cocoa, toffee and orange zest. Subtle maritime hints of sea air and seasoned oak provide depth, while clove and cinnamon spice weave through a long, warming finish.
Finish
Long and refined, this finish unfolds with a wave of sherry sweetness, giving way to dark chocolate, fig and dried fruit. Spices—cinnamon and clove—rise, tempered by oaken vanilla and a touch of sea salt. A whisper of smoke threads through, lingering as a warm, elegant fade that coats the palate.
