About Glasgow Distillery
Glasgow Distillery was founded in 2012 by Liam Hughes and Mike Hayward, with the aim of bringing single malt Scotch whisky distilling back to Glasgow. The company takes its name from one of the city’s historic distilleries, founded in 1770 and closed in 1902, while the modern distillery operates from Hillington on the outskirts of Glasgow.
Glasgow 1770 Single Malt Scotch Whisky is made with Scottish barley, water from Loch Katrine and copper pot stills named Tara, Mhairi, Margaret and Frances. The signature whisky range includes The Original, Peated and Triple Distilled, with the distillery also producing Makar Gin, Malt Riot blended malt, Banditti Club Rum and G52 Botanical Vodka.
