The oldest official bottling from the Braes of Glenlivet distillery (now known as Braeval). It was one of the first automated distilleries in Scotland and one of the first to adopt an open-plan space for their layout. Although the distillery has a pagoda roof, traditionally used for malting, no malting has ever taken place. This has been matured in American Oak barrels and hogsheads.
Tropical notes on the nose with aromas of mango and root ginger. Fruity flavours intensifying on the palate with juicy orange, blackberry jam and marzipan coming through, resulting in a long-lasting, sweet finish.
