Tasting Notes
Colour
Luxurious deep amber with coppery highlights and a honeyed gold sheen.
Nose
Deep oxidative sherry aroma from the Palo Cortado cask: dried fig and raisin wrapped in burnt-sugar toffee, toasted almond and orange zest. Subtle cocoa, leather and spice broaden the bouquet, with rich wood and a ripe, aged fruit sweetness lingering on the nose.
Palate
Silky, full-bodied palate with the dry, nutty elegance of Palo Cortado sherry. Almond and walnut carry dark fruits—fig and raisin—with a thread of orange zest, cacao nibs and toffee. Spices rise to deliver a warming, lingering finish.
Finish
Long, elegant finish with sherried depth: almond and walnut mingle with dried fig and dark cocoa, brightened by a whisper of orange zest. The Palo Cortado cask leaves a warm, polished oak echo that lingers, richly spiced and enduring at 51.4% ABV.
