Distilled at Bladnoch in 1990, this exceptionally mature Lowland single malt spent 35 years in a single refill barrel before being bottled in 2025 at 54.2% ABV. The extended maturation brings together crystallised fruit, lemon, grass, wax and buttery richness, alongside old dessert wine notes, gentle spice and polished oak. Limited to just 212 bottles, this is one of the more mature releases in the Whiskyland series.

Citrus, ripe yellow plum and apricot with light ginger, wax, tropical fruit and deeper woody spice.

Palate

Sweet orchard fruit, floral honey and dessert wine mingle with wax, cedar, mineral notes, gentle spice and hints of coconut.

Finish

Long and gently herbal, with honey, pollen, fruit tea, citrus and mature oak.

Bladnoch
(BLAD-nock) Bladnoch was founded in 1817 by brothers John and Thomas McClelland on their farm near Wigtown in Dumfries and Galloway. Set beside the River Bladnoch, it is Scotland’s most southerly working distillery and one of the oldest active Lowland single malt producers. The McClelland family developed the site for almost a century, with Bladnoch later known as the “Queen of the Lowlands” as production expanded.
