Ownership changed repeatedly during the 20th century, including periods under Dunville & Co., Inver House, Arthur Bell & Sons and United Distillers. Raymond and Colin Armstrong bought the silent distillery in 1994 and restarted production in 2000, before the business entered administration in 2014. Australian entrepreneur David Prior acquired Bladnoch in 2015, carried out a major refurbishment, and production resumed in 2017. Today it produces Lowland single malt with a modern capacity of around 1.5 million litres per year, including a small proportion of heavily peated spirit.
