Tasting Notes

Colour

Pale golden straw with a soft honey glow and a hint of amber.

Nose

Fresh-cut apples take the lead, paired with toasted caramel and delicate floral notes, yielding a crisp, orchard-bright aroma with a touch of sweetness.

Palate

Caramelised toffee apples meet peppery spice and fresh cut oak on the palate. A bold, warming sweetness from bourbon and new oak lingers, with a clean, oak-forward finish at 52.2% ABV.

Finish

A long, warming finish that dries softly, leaving a gentle echo of oak and peppery spice with a hint of caramel.

Bladnoch
(BLAD-nock) Bladnoch was founded in 1817 by brothers John and Thomas McClelland on their farm near Wigtown in Dumfries and Galloway. Set beside the River Bladnoch, it is Scotland’s most southerly working distillery and one of the oldest active Lowland single malt producers. The McClelland family developed the site for almost a century, with Bladnoch later known as the “Queen of the Lowlands” as production expanded.
