This unique malt is created by blending Bladnoch Single Malts matured in first fill ex Bourbon casks and first fill ex Californian Red Wine casks (both American Oak) to create a rich and smooth winey palate. Crafted using only the purest ingredients – pristine water from the River Bladnoch and locally grown barley – Samsara is a composition of well-aged Bladnoch Malts.
Meaning ‘rebirth’ Samsara symbolises the first release and reawakening of Bladnoch Distillery.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Golden amber with coppery undertones and a faint ruby glint.
Nose
Quite concentrated, a fruit compote bouquet of plums, vanilla and orange blossom, with a wine-kissed lift that hints at the cask-matured richness.
Palate
A sweet winey opening gives way to a gentle drying, unveiling plums and vanilla with citrus hints, all resting on a malty core. The palate feels polished and well-structured, with layered fruit and spice that carry through to a mellow, winey finish.
Finish
Mellow and winey, with a gentle spice that lingers, fading into a long, elegant tail.
