Alinta’, an indigenous Australian word from several Southeast Australian language groups, means ‘fire’ and ‘flames’. This expression utilises PX Sherry and ex-bourbon casks, combined together with a sweet smoky peated spirit, sets Alinta apart from anything previously released by Bladnoch.

Colour

Rich amber with coppery-gold sheen and a touch of burnished mahogany at the rim, glowing with a warm, wine-dark depth.

Nose

Smoky ice cream on the nose, with delicate floral notes and a gentle kiss of sweet oak—a creamy, perfumed allure.

Palate

Campfire smoke, almonds and raisins weave through a white chocolate body.

Finish

A long, honeyed finish of sweet smoke lingers, with campfire warmth dissolving into almond and raisin undertones, finally caressed by a gentle note of white chocolate as the smoke fades.

Bladnoch
(BLAD-nock) Bladnoch was founded in 1817 by brothers John and Thomas McClelland on their farm near Wigtown in Dumfries and Galloway. Set beside the River Bladnoch, it is Scotland’s most southerly working distillery and one of the oldest active Lowland single malt producers. The McClelland family developed the site for almost a century, with Bladnoch later known as the “Queen of the Lowlands” as production expanded.
