Asgard is the home of the Æsir – the gods of Viking Norse mythology. This world is connected to Midgard, the home of men, by the northern light bridge, Bivrost. Sitting atop Bivrost, is the mighty Heimdall. The powerful God, whose mission it is to guard both Asgard and Midgard, the land of men.
The Whisky has been stored in carefully selected Bourbon and Muscat casks. It was allowed to mature in an old, underground NATO storage, as well as a modern viking longhouse. The temperature variations are vast, with an average, yearly temperature of only 0,6 °C.
CASK HANDLING: Asgard is matured in predominantly 200 l. Heaven Hill Bourbon casks and 228 l. French, sweet wine, Muscat casks. The Muscat casks were sourced as fresh as possible and will impart a sweetness to the Whisky, which is exciting. This is the first time we are trying to impart some sweetness to our Whisky.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Golden amber with honeyed warmth and coppery highlights, a sunlit, caramel-bronze glow.
Nose
Leather, vanilla and oak lead into caramel sweetness, lifted by white peppercorn and gentle spices, with a delicate hint of incense.
Palate
Raisins and prunes mingle with cinnamon and a hint of ginger, balanced by biscuity sweetness and oak.
Finish
Long, medium-intensity finish where leather reappears and lingers, leaving a subtle echo of oak and spice to close the palate.
