Aber Falls Whisky Distillery is one of only four in Wales, and the first in North Wales since the early 1900s.
Located within a stone’s throw of Rhaeadr Fawr, the famous Aber Falls waterfall, their inaugural release Single Malt whisky is distilled, bottled and matured in our distillery, using specially crafted Welsh ingredients from the surrounding area.
Their first foray into whisky producing after a stellar start to their gin production is a 3 year old Single Malt bottled at 46% ABV with only 2000 bottles available aged in a mix of American Virgin oak, Sherry & Orange wine casks.

Tasting Notes

Colour

Radiant amber-gold with coppery highlights and a honey-bronze glow.

Nose

A tropical upfront of coconut, mango and banana, framed by warming cinnamon; fresh-cut grass notes mingle with a whisper of rum-and-raisin ice cream.

Palate

Luxurious dark chocolate meets golden syrup and creme brulee, with a subtle pine lift and savoury undertones that linger on the finish.

Finish

A lingering, creamy finish: sweet and softly indulgent, with vanilla warmth and a delicate spice that trails away gracefully.

Aber Falls
Aber Falls was commissioned in late 2017 and began production in early 2018 in Abergwyngregyn, North Wales, close to Rhaeadr Fawr, the Aber Falls waterfall. It was the first whisky distillery in North Wales for more than 100 years and forms part of Halewood Artisanal Spirits, with production centred on Welsh ingredients and local distillation.
