Tasting Notes

Colour

Deep amber with coppery highlights and a warm mahogany edge, a glow born of sherry-cask maturation.

Nose

Rich sherry-driven nose of dark dried fruits—fig, raisin and prune—woven with warming cinnamon and clove, touched by a gentle kiss of oak. Velvet and inviting, it hints at depth and a softly sweet, lingering finish to come.

Palate

On the palate, dried fruits—raisin, fig, prune—unfold with warming spice notes of cinnamon and clove. Rich sherry-cask depth carries dark oak and a hint of cacao, while a velvet mouthfeel supports the 47% ABV. The finish is long and smooth, letting fruit, spice and gentle oak linger warmly.

Long, warming and richly fruity, the finish unfurls with dried fruit, spice, and sherry-soaked oak. It lingers smoothly, a gentle sweetness dissolving into warm oak and subtle tannins.

Aber Falls
Aber Falls was commissioned in late 2017 and began production in early 2018 in Abergwyngregyn, North Wales, close to Rhaeadr Fawr, the Aber Falls waterfall. It was the first whisky distillery in North Wales for more than 100 years and forms part of Halewood Artisanal Spirits, with production centred on Welsh ingredients and local distillation.
