A 40 year old, single cask Benromach! Now that has sunk in a few more details. Drawn from a single refill sherry cask, no 2608, this is a release of only 184 bottles and is part of the distilleries Heritage series.
Honey, vanilla, butterscotch, lime and ginger on the nose. The palate is a heady mix of pear, chocolate and tobacco, rich and smooth with an undertone of spice and subtle smoke. Lingering on the finish with more chocolate sweetness and smokey embers.
