Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep, burnished amber with mahogany depth and a warm copper-gold glow.
Nose
Opulent sherry aroma unfolds with sun-dried figs, raisins and dates, polished prunes, and maraschino cherries. Ripe cocoa and dark chocolate mingle with toffee, caramelized sugar, and toasted almonds. Spices—cinnamon and clove—linger alongside mahogany oak, subtle leather, and a whisper of tobacco. A luxurious, refined bouquet that speaks of age and a rare Ben Nevis bottled by SMWS.
Palate
A lush, full-bodied palate of dried fruits—raisins, dates and fig—woven with orange zest, cocoa and warm spices. Sherry sweetness mingles with polished oak, delivering a velvety mouthfeel and a long, espresso-kissed finish.
Finish
Luxuriously long and warming, the finish spreads a sherried sweetness that coats the palate with dried fig and raisin, dark chocolate and toasted almond. Spices such as cinnamon, clove and nutmeg build slowly, then fade to toasted oak and a final whisper of tobacco and leather, leaving a refined, lingering amber glow.
