This now discontinued expression has been matured in traditional Oak casks before spending a final period in barrels that had previously held Golden Caribbean Rum giving this dram a very rich but light and complex flavour.
The 14 Year “Golden Cask” is a limited, Travel Retail only release and is 47.5%, non chill-filtered, vs 43% chill-filtered compared to the similar Caribbean Rum Cask.

Rich yet light on the palate, Balvenie Golden Cask unfurls with honeyed vanilla, citrus zest and orchard fruit, underpinned by warm oak spice. The Caribbean Rum cask finish introduces tropical warmth—banana, toffee and dried raisin—along a creamy, waxy mouthfeel. A long, elegant finish of refined sweetness and nuanced spice.
