Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep copper-amber with mahogany-ruby edges and a warm wine-dark glow.
Nose
Ex-sherry richness envelops the bouquet: dark figs, raisins and prune, orange zest, cocoa and toasted almond. Cinnamon and clove mingle with vanilla, toffee and a touch of oak for a refined, sun-warmed elegance.
Palate
Silky, full-bodied mouthfeel with a warm, sherried sweetness that coats the palate. Rich dried fruits—fig, sultana, raisin—layer with burnt orange zest and a malty backbone. Almonds and cocoa emerge, guided by gentle spice: cinnamon, clove, a whisper of leather. The finish is lengthy, luxuriously dry-spiced, leaving a polished, nutty aftertaste that lingers with cocoa dust and oak.
Finish
An opulent, long finish that lingers with sherry warmth. Dried fruits—raisin, fig and date—unfold with cocoa, toffee and a touch of orange zest, while cinnamon and nutmeg provide a gentle spice. Oak tannins fade into a warm, refined glow, leaving a lasting echo of sweetness and memory.
