Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep burnished amber with mahogany edges and a warm copper-gold glow.
Nose
Sherried aroma with ripe fig, raisin and candied orange, folded into toffee and cocoa. Underpinning oak and a touch of leather lend depth, while sea air and salted caramel add a coastal lift. Warm spice—cinnamon and clove—brightens the bouquet, finishing with a refined, lingering sweetness.
Palate
Silky and full-bodied on the palate, this 52% single cask delivers a sherried flood of dark fruits—figs, raisins, and ripe cherries—bound with mocha, candied orange peel, and a heaping of honey. Rich, velvety oak, almond paste, and cocoa mingle with baking spices; the finish lingers with orange zest, cinnamon, and a whisper of maritime salt, leaving a refined, warming glow.
Finish
Long, lush finish with rich sherry sweetness lingering over toasted oak. Notes of dark chocolate, dried cherry and orange zest unfold slowly, followed by spice and almond at the edges. The warmth remains, tapering to a refined, lingering nutty fade.
