Colour
Bright golden amber with warm honeyed undertones and a whisper of copper.
Nose
Vibrant tropical fruit notes—pineapple, mango, banana—rise from rum-kissed sweetness, with vanilla and coconut lending cream and depth. A maritime salt and oak spine underpins the aroma, while faint peat and spice add coastal complexity. Sun-warmed, fruity, and intriguingly funky, this nose hints at Caribbean rum in Ardnamurchan’s Highland character.
Palate
Full-bodied and velvety, it rides a maritime glow—salty, briny with salted caramel—while tropical fruit notes of pineapple and banana from the rum cask brighten the palate. A whisper of peat smoke lingers beside creamy vanilla, toffee and spice. At 55% ABV, warmth deepens into a long, layered finish where oak, rum sweetness and a touch of smoke persist.
Finish
Long, sun-warmed finish carries tropical fruit—mango, pineapple, banana—intertwined with Caribbean rum spice. A salty, weighty malt binds toasted oak and vanilla, slowly fading into a softly peated, lingering echo.
