Colour

Deep amber with coppery mahogany undertones.

Nose

Murray mint, bonfire on the beach and coastal peat waft with salted peanut ice-cream, tomato stalks, Brazil nut and sun-dried tomatoes, teriyaki beef jerky, relish and tamari; an unctuous, savory-sweet nose with bold contrast.

Palate

Tarry rope and bung cloth form a smoky backbone, edged by smoky bacon and the hush of an old tractor shed. Peanut brittle and sticky spare ribs pin the mid-palate, while red plum and cherry lift above. In the latter courses, chalky cliff mineral notes emerge, yielding meaty, savory traits that linger.

Finish

Crashing waves and sea-salt linger, carried by the embered glow of a bothy fireplace, with a final whisper of a cigar shop.
