Cask Strength Distillery Bottling

Bourbon casks from early 2018 were filled with a roughly 60/40 ratio of unpeated to peated spirit, then re-racked into Madeira casks for two years. These casks were vatted just prior to reaching 7 years old and bottled, yielding just under 19,000 bottles in this batch.

Nose

Cocoa powder, stewed plums, sugared almonds, bread andbutter pudding, nutmeg, sandalwood, bracken, fruit scone, redcurrants.

Palate

Cinnamon sweets, cedar bark, salted trail mix withchocolate chips, rosemary stalks, toffee apple, pine needles,strawberries with black pepper.

Finish

Medium weight, dusty, long and slightly drying finish.

(ard-na-muh-can) Ardnamurchan was opened by Adelphi in 2014 at Glenbeg on the Ardnamurchan peninsula, one of the most westerly parts of the British mainland. Adelphi had built its reputation as an independent bottler before creating its own distillery, with Ardnamurchan designed as a modern West Highland producer shaped by a remote coastal location and a strong focus on sustainability.
