Ardnamurchan AD/08:15 Single Cask #529 Whisky 2015 Vintage
Out of stock
Ardnamurchan takes a different approach to blending than many distilleries. Instead of a single Master Blender, a six-person blending team collectively decides on every drop that goes into a bottle.
When the team noses a sample from a particularly characterful cask, they may set it aside for a single cask bottling. Each year, they release dozens of these, fully matured in one cask and typically bottled at natural cask strength—paying homage to their Adelphi roots as a single-cask, cask-strength bottler.
While every cask’s whisky is unique, each retains the distinct traits of Ardnamurchan single malt. The opaque slate blue bottle used for single cask releases subtly nods to the Ardnamurchan peninsula, reflecting the colour of the volcanic rock surrounding the distillery.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Dense amber with coppery glints and a warm mahogany edge.
Nose
Bright citrus zest and green apple lift the nose, mingled with creamy vanilla and a touch of toffee from the oak. A nuanced spice unfurls alongside subtle dried fruit, while a maritime mineral kiss—salt air and slate—whispers Ardnamurchan’s Highland coastline.
Palate
Silken and vibrant on the palate, with orchard fruit sweetness giving way to dried citrus peel and subtle sherry-led richness. Notes of toasted oak, vanilla cream, and delicate spice—cinnamon and white pepper—unfold over malt and a touch of maritime salt. Elegant balance, medium weight, leading to a lingering, softly nutty finish enriched by faint cocoa and warm oak.
Finish
Silky and persistent, the finish drapes warm sherry-soaked sweetness over nutty oak, with figs and raisins lingering beside cocoa and spice. A coastal whisper of salt graces the tail, fading to toasted almond and velvet vanilla as the cask's character slowly recedes.
