A lovely independant nottling of Ardmore from North Star Spirts, a Glasgow based bottler priding themselves on bottling the finiest spirits.

This is a really peaty and chewy Ardmore expression. Lots of smoke and BBQ aromas on the nose. The palate shows more malty and sweet brown sugary flavours but the smokiness persists. The finish is surprisingly a little more delicate with a nuttiness and of course, smoke!

Colour

Deep amber with a rich copper glow and a hint of mahogany.

Nose

Peat smoke dominates, with bold BBQ aromas—charred notes and embers weaving through a rich, smoky nose.

Palate

Chewy peat drives the palate, supported by malt and brown sugar sweetness. Rich toffee notes mingle with persistent smoke and BBQ-char, giving a full, warm mid-palate. The finish remains delicately nutty with a final whisper of smoke.

Finish

A surprisingly delicate finish, with subtle nuttiness weaving through the lingering smoke, leaving a refined, toasted warmth at the end.

Ardmore
(ARD-moor) Ardmore was founded in 1898 by Adam Teacher to supply peated malt for Teacher’s blends, and it remains one of the more distinctive Highland distilleries for that reason. While peat is more commonly associated with Islay, Ardmore built its name on a smokier Highland style, combining earthy peat, gentle spice and a slightly dry, robust character. The distillery is based at Kennethmont and is now part of Suntory Global Spirits.
