Tasting Notes

Nose

Peat smoke mingles with rich Oloroso, releasing a lush bouquet of ripe figs, raisins and dark chocolate with toasted almonds. Caramel and toffee drift with citrus zest, vanilla and spice, while a briny maritime thread keeps it bright. The sherry influence coats the aroma in velvety sweetness, hinting at cacao, leather and oak as it lingers.

(ARD-moor) Ardmore was founded in 1898 by Adam Teacher to supply peated malt for Teacher’s blends, and it remains one of the more distinctive Highland distilleries for that reason. While peat is more commonly associated with Islay, Ardmore built its name on a smokier Highland style, combining earthy peat, gentle spice and a slightly dry, robust character. The distillery is based at Kennethmont and is now part of Suntory Global Spirits.
