A limited release 30 year old Ardmore, matured in a combination of ex - Bourbon and first fill ex - Bourbon casks.
Only the third time an Ardmore of this age has been released, officially or independently.
Lots of Speyside sweetness on the nose, honey, malt and butterscotch. Ginger and mandarine oranges are present on the palate with subtle peaty notes, bonfire embers and chimney soot. The finish is lovely and long with a great textured mouthfeel and more subtle smoke to finish.
Cracking value for a whisky of this age.
