Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber-gold with coppery glints, warming to a rich mahogany at the rim.
Nose
Aromatics begin with robust peat and smoky malt, tempered by bright citrus zest and vanilla-laden oak. Rich sherry influence emerges as dark raisin and toasted almond notes, while a touch of sea-salt and spice adds depth—an inviting, cask-strength invitation to the palate.
Palate
Powerful, full-bodied palate of cask-strength Ardmore: peat smoke intertwined with rich sherry notes, dark fruit like raisin and fig, and touches of caramel, cocoa and espresso. Spices rise—cinnamon and white pepper—while vanilla and oak add warmth. Long, warming finish of smoke, treacle and leather, with a glossy, lingering warmth.
Finish
Long, smoke-kissed finish with disciplined peat that lingers gracefully. Sherry sweetness softens into ripe fruit and toffee, while dark chocolate and oak spice leave a warm, resinous echo. A refined, lasting fade that coats the palate with quiet intensity.
