Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber with coppery-gold highlights and a warm mahogany glow.
Nose
Epic peat smoke with sea-salt and iodine lingers, reinforced by rich sherry sweetness. Dried orange zest, fig and dark chocolate unfold beside vanilla, toasted oak and a touch of tar, all riding a clean mineral spine. Coastal, powerful Ardbeg character that hints at depth and age.
Palate
Opulent, mouth-coating peat and coastal brine open the palate, escorted by sherry sweetness. Dark fig and raisin mingle with cocoa, treacle, vanilla and toasted oak, while orange zest and black pepper lift the mid-palate. Iodine and sea salt thread through the smoke, finishing long and warming with leather, cocoa, and ember-like peat.
Finish
Long, smoky finish with coastal peat, iodine and warm vanilla. Subtle fruit and cocoa notes emerge before a peppery, drying embrace lingers, inviting the next sip.
