Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber with copper-gold hues and a hint of mahogany.
Nose
Ardbeg peat dominates, with smoky barley, iodine and tar mingling with bright citrus zest and vanilla. A sherry warmth lingers, unfolding dried fruit, cocoa and toasted oak, finishing with coastal salinity.
Palate
Bold peat and smoky resin lead the palate, with medicinal iodine and a briny coastal tang. Sherry sweetness threads through dark fruit, fig and raisin, alongside toffee and vanilla. The finish grows warming spice, cocoa and a lingering, ash-dusty note, kept taut by mineral salt and oak.
Finish
Long, smoky aftertaste where peat lingers beside a sherry-sweet core. Dried fig and dark chocolate unfold, brightened by orange zest, with sea-salt whispers and toasted oak. A resinous warmth persists, fading to ember and ash, leaving a final tang of pepper.
